Good morning friends – Peace be with you!
This week, we are staying at the guest house of St. Leo’s Abbey in St. Leo, Florida where we will worship and eat our meals with the monks. Great spirit of hospitality. This morning, I walked down to the lake and prayerfully walked through the cemetery where all the former monks, brothers, priests, and abbots are buried. If gives you pause to stop and to remember and to reflect.
Friends: I am remembering that we are “spiritual beings having a human experience.”
This is a wonderful and awesome world filled with so many creative and compassionate people.
C.S. Lewis wrote looking back over his life: “So it was always you. All the people who loved me. All the people I loved. It was always you.”
In your own words – I am wondering what comes to your mind as you look back over your life and remember and reflect. Your moments of awe and wonder at the mystery of life. Your glimpses of the sacred. Your experiences of grace. The people who have touched your life and awakened you to the sacrament of life. The people who live forever in the balcony of your life.
What comes to your mind as you remember and reflect back over your life?
Reflect on the three most important people and the three most significant stepping stones of your journey here.
And what might be next for you?
Music for prayer and reflection – let the music, words, and images flow through you – opening inner spaces.
Aging is a part of life – but you don’t have to grow old.
Love to you and a gentle hug. Let your love flow. Let your light shine. Both are really needed in our world today.
We are all sparks of the Divine flame
Blessed Be
Compassionate Be
Boldly Be
